Glovo has made the purposeful decision to dedicate a significant amount of time to our employees' well-being, something that not many organizations do. However, we consider it our responsibility to ensure that all employees feel protected, respected, supported, and represented in order to provide them with the jobs of their lives.

At Glovo, our aim is to provide our employees with the jobs of their lives. It is therefore of importance to us that our employees are feeling well; mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially. On may 18th we celebrate Well-Feeling Day; we take a moment to reflect on all that we have been doing to work on our well-being, the importance of doing so, and the areas in which we can improve as individuals and as a company.

The Ambassadors Program was an initiative created in 2021 which envisioned building a strong network across all Glovo offices to drive our values and company DNA: Culture, Social Impact and Volunteering. Last month, all ambassadors finally came together to meet in real life in our HQ office in Barcelona.

In our very first edition of Office Tours, we are introducing you to our office in Nigeria. Operating from one of the most populous and vibrant cities in Africa, Lagos, Glovo Nigeria works every day to make the magic happen. Tola Spence, our Office Manager in Lagos, takes us with her into a typical day in Nigeria.

Growth and scale, two widely acknowledged early business priorities at Glovo, soon became aligned with social impact: the bigger the business, the bigger the contributions it could make, the more resources it could dedicate to tackling social and environmental challenges.
What our people say
I’ve been giving my 110% on projects that have helped me develop my skills and grow day after day. From three fundraising processes to several M&A opportunities across different verticals and geographies, I certainly feel that being part of such transformational work at Glovo has been a unique lifetime opportunity and I’m very excited about what’s to come!

I feel very grateful because they have become more than some colleagues. The trust they place in me is making me grow every day, I have learned to work as a team and I have more and more responsibilities.

I joined Glovo at a very early stage of the company. My biggest challenge during these 4 years has been adapting to the growth and changes and giving my best during this adventure. We started building tripods with cereal boxes for shootings, and now we launch TVC campaigns almost every quarter around the world! This amazing journey has been so intense that now I have yellow blood inside my veins.

Working at Glovo has been a great adventure, and everyday is a chance to learn something new. While setting up Glovo in Kenya, one of the greatest challenges we faced was coming up with innovative ideas of reducing the cash in circulation for Kenya, whose operation is cash driven unlike other markets. I led the team in setting up mobile money options for the app, which was a new concept in Glovo. It has been amazing to see us grow into this sweet spot whereby there’s just enough cash in circulation. It is such exciting challenges that make it an adventure to work at Glovo.
