YOUR MISSION

At Glovo, we are seeking for a Treasury Director to lead and manage the treasury functions for our international operations in 23 countries. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in treasury operations, cash flow management, and currency risk management in a multinational environment. The role requires a strategic thinker who can optimize our capital structure, manage financial risks, and support the company's growth initiative

THE JOURNEY

• Oversee the daily management of the company's treasury operations, including cash management, forecasting, and planning. Implement cash concentrator mechanisms such as netting or cash pooling.
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks, including currency risk, interest rate risk, and liquidity risk.
• Develop and manage trade finance programs to support the company’s international trade activities. Coordinate with financial institutions to secure documentation, facilities maintenance and issuance of guarantees.
• Support on maintaining processes as well as control utilization levels and fees. Provide insights on market conditions, currency trends, and impact on the company's international operations.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with global banking partners to optimize banking structures and reduce transaction costs.
• Develop and manage the company's investment strategy to ensure optimal returns on surplus cash across different jurisdictions.
• Ensure compliance with treasury policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets Work closely with finance, operations, and business development teams to align treasury activities with business objectives.
• Big focus on implementing best practices to optimize working capital.
• Prepare regular reports on cash flow, liquidity status, and treasury performance for senior management and Glovo’s CFO Lead the implementation and enhancement of treasury management systems and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of treasury experience with at least 3 years in leading high performing teams within a multinational company.
• Experience in the delivery or e-commerce industry is preferred.
• Previous experience in setting up processes from scratch and scaling companies is a must.
• Being a hands-on leader is required. Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in treasury management software and financial modeling.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required. Additional languages are a plus.
