Job Description
We’re hiring an Automation Engineer to join the Quick Commerce Global Services team, powering Delivery Hero – based in Glovo, Barcelona.
YOUR MISSION
In this role, you’ll be part of a central team within Delivery Hero’s Global Services unit, shaping solutions that serve our entire global ecosystem, and your work will drive impact across Delivery Hero’s regional brands worldwide. You’ll be working with cross-functional teams to build scalable solutions that enhance customer experiences and operational excellence on a global scale. It’s a unique opportunity to combine Glovo’s vibrant, fast-paced culture with the reach and complexity of one of the world’s largest local delivery platforms.
THE JOURNEY
- Advocate for quality across the team
- Contribute to and execute the quality strategy, applying QA processes and practices
- Automate critical end-to-end flows, assisting engineers with test automation
- Investigate and respond to troubleshooting requests raised by our local teams around the world
- Monitor product quality metrics, logs, and alerts, and recommend observability improvements
- Perform exploratory testing and other hands-on validation activities to complement automated testing
- Identify and document test scenarios to ensure comprehensive coverage across functionalities
- Enhance automation tools
- Collaborate with developers, UX/UI designers, data experts, and product managers to continuously improve our vendor-facing applications
Qualifications
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
- 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance
- 2+ years of android app testing experience
- 2+ years of test automation experience (e.g., Appium, RestAssured, Cucumber)
- Strong knowledge of OOP languages (e.g., Java/Kotlin)
- Experience with test strategy, case creation, and documentation
- Ability to quickly understand complex technical concepts and transpose them into clear concise documentation
- Proficient English communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with Appium/Espresso
- Software development experience (Android experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., GCP).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Drone CI, GitHub Actions, Bitrise etc).
- Strong experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools like Grafana, Crashlytics, or Sentry
