YOUR MISSION

At Glovo, we are looking for a Finance Analyst with some experience in the treasury or finance field to join our team in Barcelona. You will work directly with the Glovo Treasury team and the rest of the Finance team at Glovo HQ and in the countries.

THE JOURNEY

  • Review day-to-day cash position, cash flows & cash flow forecasting for the required entities.
  • Optimize cash usage and working capital needs.
  • Execute financial operations, mainly intercompany but also special formats (tax, legal, etc.).
  • Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports on the global cash position.
  • Be the point of contact for the local teams supporting them in invoicing, payments, and financial processes. Assist other departments (e.g., audit, accounting) with quarter-end and ad-hoc information requests as needed.
  • Reconciliation of bank movements for management reporting, reconciliation and accounting records.
  • Work on long-term projections and coordinate with all stakeholders to improve accuracy.
  • Assist in maintaining relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
  • Provide information in connection with the external and internal audits and assist in maintaining legal documentation including internal controls-related documentation to ensure best practices and compliance with global processes.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • A degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration (with a major in Finance or Economic).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a corporate treasury function, or in financial departments of international corporations.
  • Knowledge of advanced Excel (VBA) / Google Sheet is a must + SQL or any advanced programming language is welcome.
  • Strong understanding of a Corporate finance function.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting required. 
  • Experience in working with international banks and knowledge of any TMS (Kyriba or SAP) would be a plus.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Proactive and autonomous, ready to get your hands dirty – when there is a problem, you will find a way to fix it with a data-driven mindset.
  • Organized and detail-oriented attitude.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience in similar sectors or technology companies.
  • Fluent Spanish is a plus, but not a deal breaker.
  • Analytical profile, goal-oriented and team-spirit attitude.
  • High motivation in the world of start-ups and new technologies.
