YOUR MISSION

We are seeking a dynamic leader who embodies a mix of leadership skills, operational excellence, and negotiation and collaboration skills.  As Manager of Account Management NE Spain, you will be instrumental in driving the growth and success of Glovo in Catalonia & Balearics, which makes your region the biggest one nationally. Your role will involve supporting the Head of the region in setting the commercial strategy, leading a high-performing team of account managers, and building strong partnerships with key stakeholders.

THE JOURNEY

Team Management and Leadership

  • Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team of up to 6 Account Managers with full autonomy, including hiring, promoting, and dismissing team members as needed.
  • Establish goals for the team and evaluate their performance. Handle performance and develop talent to ensure the team is engaged and we retain them.
  • Contribute actively to the teams’ development and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make the difference
  • Set clear objectives, delegate responsibilities effectively, and track performance to ensure alignment with strategic goals.

Partnership Development 

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including top restaurants, retail chains, and local businesses, to drive shared growth.
  • Ensure that Top Accounts are out of risk of churning by establishing operational processes and commercial actions with the aim of generating orders.
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies to grow our presence in the Northeast region of Spain.

Processes and efficiency

  • Define and implement efficiency plans and projects to improve how Account Managers manage relationships with their assigned partners.
  • Establish clear goals and performance metrics, ensuring accountability and fostering talent retention.
  • Drive team process improvements by mapping changes, setting clear targets, and introducing new workflows to optimize performance and partner satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, finance) to ensure flawless execution and a strong team dynamic.
  • Analyse complex data sets to extract actionable insights, inform decision-making, and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Generate best practices and processes which can be replicated across all areas

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

You have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial Strategy, Business Consultancy, or Big Tech environments.
  • Native fluency in Spanish and Catalan, with excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Industrial Engineering, or related field (FMCG, food-hospitality, or on-demand delivery experience is a strong plus).
  • Proven track record of negotiating complex, large-scale contracts and successfully managing relationships with C-level executives.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand, empathize with, and anticipate clients’ business models, challenges, and objectives.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, comfortable working with data to drive key business insights.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience, preferably with teams of up to 8 full-time employees.
  • Experience in process management and operational optimization to enhance team and business efficiency.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to design and implement growth strategies effectively.
  • High degree of autonomy and accountability, capable of driving impactful decisions independently.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and commercial mindset.
  • A proactive, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Ambitious and forward-thinking, constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
  • Empathetic, inclusive, and curious, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Ownership mindset: a natural bias for action, always pushing for things to happen, with a hands-on, deadline-oriented approach.
