YOUR MISSION

The Privacy Team aims to ensure compliance with company policies, GDPR and local regulations at all levels and in all aspects of the business. We are part of an international environment in which we are handling group-level policies and procedures. As a Privacy Lead in the GRC & Privacy team, you will play a key role in managing global Privacy projects, potential incidents and providing advice to all relevant stakeholders in privacy implications of business needs and objectives. You’ll lead privacy projects across multiple regions and functions, ensuring that regulatory compliance, and internal policies are complied, effective, and continuously improved.

THE JOURNEY

  • Define and align Privacy objectives and action plans with senior management and other internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate with the Group Privacy Team to ensure timely reporting and strategy alignment.
  • Provide expert advice to senior management on data privacy regarding complex projects (e.g. involving AI or special categories of personal data).
  • Interpret and apply GDPR, global data protection laws and industry-specific requirements to the projects, providing tailored solutions to the business teams.
  • Manage data breaches globally, including the coordination of the teams, collection of information, notification to the authorities and affected individuals, among others.
  • Lead the collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement privacy best practices and compliance solutions, in accordance with the regulations and group policies.
  • Manage litigation cases related to data protection, tracking status and reporting to relevant stakeholders.
  • Draft, review, and roll out privacy policies, data protection agreements, and other documentation.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments (DPIAs), provide actionable recommendations to mitigate risks and monitor improvement.
  • Develop and deliver training to internal teams and senior management on data privacy regulations and compliance strategies.
  • Monitor emerging data privacy legislation and trends, proactively advising relevant stakeholders on necessary adjustments.
  • Implement legal compliance mechanisms for international data transfers.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Cybersecurity or related areas;
  • From 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in data protection (in-house or in a law firm);
  • Excellent English language skills. Fluency in Spanish;
  • A Master or Certification in data protection regulations is a plus; DPO
  • Expertise in the use of Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Google Slides and Google Docs, etc.).
  • Ability to prepare excellent reports, executive presentations and dynamic training; 
  • Ability to navigate across multiple geographies and cultures;
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including strengths in influencing, conflict management and negotiation;
  • High energy and creativity, an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to work in a growing and changing environment;
  • Multitasking and ability to work under pressure;
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills;
  • Organized and detail-oriented mindset;
  • Adaptation skills;
  • An empathetic, inclusive and curious attitude.
