With our technology, we invite shoppers to donate small amounts when they pay for goods and services. We connect merchants with NGOs and donors by partnering with different Payment Service Providers. So far, we have raised more than 20M€, we process more than 2 million donations monthly, and we funded more than 800 projects thanks to our different fundraising channels and we are looking to expand our impact even further. Your mission: 

 

As we are scaling Worldcoo, we are now starting our Data Platform. As a Data Engineer you will own and create our new Data Platform from scratch, having full control over the future of Data at Worldcoo. This role involves conceptualization, deployment, and maintenance. Responsibilities include stakeholder communication, requirements gathering, and creating data visualizations. The role demands strong technical skills, communication, problem-solving, and a proactive approach to building scalable data infrastructure.



BE PART OF A TEAM WHERE YOU WILL: 

  • Develop and optimize data pipelines: data ingestion from transactional sources and APIs, data transformation with dbt, and workflow orchestration with Airflow
  • Model and structure data: Build maintainable data models, including fact tables and slowly changing dimensions, to support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Partner with business teams to understand their needs, deliver actionable data solutions, and support self-service analytics. 
  • Design user-friendly dashboards and LookML models to enable stakeholders to explore and analyze data effectively.
  • Stay up to date with  the latest data technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices. Experiment with new tools 
  • Continuously work on improving our data quality

 

YOU HAVE: 

  • Eagerness to work closely with business stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate complex data topics to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency with SQL and Python
  • Experience building ETL workloads
  • Knowledge of data modeling and schema design
  • Experience with cloud technologies (GCP, AWS)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Quicksight, Looker, Tableau, Power BI)

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience with test automation (data testing, unit and system integration testing)
  • Experience building data products in a Data Mesh architecture
  • Experience in big data technologies (e.g. Spark), SQL optimisation and performance tuning
  • Experience with Infrastructure as a Code (Terraform).
