YOUR MISSION
As an iOS Engineer at Platform, your mission will be to empower our mobile product development teams at Glovo. You'll be instrumental in defining and driving the adoption of high-level architectures, enabling teams to be autonomous and deliver high-quality solutions. We're looking for someone to continuously optimize and automate our CI/CD processes, enhance developer productivity, and contribute to a fantastic shipping experience for our engineers. You'll be a technical reference, mentoring others, and leading initiatives that help our technology and team scale as Glovo grows.
THE JOURNEY
- Define the high-level architecture of the applications and drive its adoption to empower multiple teams of product developers
- Enable mobile teams to be autonomous
- Work with feature development teams to design sustainable automation systems.
- Participate in incident management, diagnosis and mitigation
- Monitor and optimize the performance of mobile apps
- Contribute to creating a fantastic shipping experience for our developers
- Continuously optimize and automate CI/CD processes to further our goal of rapidly improving developer productivity.
- Assist mobile developers in easing software development and release.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
- Computer Science or similar degree
- 6+ years of relevant full-time experience
- Strong Swift skills and working with XCode
- Knowledge of iOS SDK
- Understanding of AutoLayout and ability to create UI from code
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming and software architecture
- Ability to write good unit tests is a must
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Vivid interest in at least one area outside of coding (architecture, algorithms, optimization, automation, scalability, etc.)
- Fluid communication in English
- Deep understanding and practical experience working with mobile app architectures and project structures that scale to hundreds of engineers
- Passionate about building reliable, performant CI infrastructure.
- Experience with industry standard tools for mobile development, distribution & CI/CD
- We use Github Actions, gradle, fastlane, play store console & firebase
- General build and test tool management experience
- Experience with code signing mobile applications for iOS.
- Demonstrable skills for configuring, running, and gathering metrics from CI test pipelines executing mobile automation using tools such as XCTest
- Good knowledge of low-level details about iOS/Android runtimes, SDKs, and their build-time configuration.
