YOUR MISSION

You will support Glovo Portugal not only in the day-to-day activities most closely related to the business (such as negotiating contracts and providing all-round advice) but also through regulatory complexities, ensuring compliance and enabling innovation. 

You will need to address challenges such as evolving laws, labour issues and data privacy, while defining legal frameworks that support growth. This role requires legal expertise, adaptability and a problem-solving mindset.

THE JOURNEY

Be part of a team where you will collaborate with:

  • Commercial: Elaborate, review and analyze all types of commercial agreements for Portugal. Handle contractual and commercial implications (including, privacy, compliance, labor, licenses and others) when dealing with all the players involved in the business. Manage business operations and align the guidelines for all the countries where Glovo operates in Portugal.
  • Compliance: Strive the implementation of the policies, procedures and internal controls. Contribute to compliance reporting as per regulatory and laws requirements in all Glovo’s entities. Identify, mitigate, assess criminal risks and monitor Crime Prevention Models in company groups in Portugal. 
  • Labor: Provide operational and strategic support to the Portuguese Operations and HR teams, mainly and also including general advice on specific projects. Participate in the strategic elaboration of litigations and proceedings. 
  • Corporate: Participate in due diligence, evaluate risks, elaborate corporate documentation, implementation of corporate governance policies and support special projects as M&As. Collaborate reporting corporate information of all entities of Glovo in Portugal.
  • Privacy: Promote legal awareness throughout the Portuguese business and reporting reliable data. Actively participate in privacy projects to implement best practices in all Glovo’s subsidiaries. 
  • Regulatory, antitrust and consumer law: Provide legal advice and ensure compliance with the regulations applicable to Glovo’ s business.
  • Glovo Portugal Team : Be the Legal Manager for Portugal, advise the local team and support the  senior management in the analysis and implementation of strategies.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • At least 10 years' experience in the legal department of a company and/or reputed law firm/big4 with proven experience;
  • Law Degree;
  • Excellent Portuguese and English language skills (must have);
  • Excellence and values in handling different matters at the same time; 
  • Ability to navigate across multiple geographies and cultures, and coordinate with all the areas within the organization;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Highly motivated in the world of start-ups and new technologies;
  • Problem solver;
  • Organized and detail-oriented person;
  • Able to summarize complex matters in simple but complete and accurate recommendations;
  • International profile, able to work in a flexible, collaborative and multidisciplinary environment;
  • High energy and creativity, an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to work in a growing and changing environment;
