YOUR MISSION
You will own our Public Affairs strategy in South East Europe, building strong relationships with institutional stakeholders to showcase the benefits of our innovative model. Your role will focus on understanding local regulatory landscapes and driving impactful campaigns to support meaningful reform.
THE JOURNEY
- Design and implement Public Affairs strategy for the South East Europe (SEE/Balkans) region and contribute to the broader Global Affairs & company strategy.
- Work with consultancies and other sources to ensure a clear understanding of the opportunities and risks facing Glovo in SEE.
- Coordinate with other teams (Managing Directors, Marketing, Legal, Ops, etc.) to ensure that the biggest risks & opportunities have clear cross-departmental strategies and plans.
- Deliver strong analysis of the stakeholder environment and manage Glovo’s relationship with key stakeholders in the regulatory ecosystem, contributing to policy development as per the strategy. Travel as needed to each SEE country for in-person engagement.
- Actively engage with the Impact & Sustainability team to help design & implement programs that can be leveraged for Public Affairs objectives.
- Ensure that PR and other communications channels are leveraged to support policy goals including brand reputation.
- Ensure Glovo’s policy communications are aligned with the company’s purpose, vision and mission.
- Leverage one direct report in Romania and agencies in each country to deliver to the highest quality.
- Policy crisis management when needed.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
- 7+ years experience working in Public Affairs, including in Romania.
- Strategic and analytical skills to define and execute policy strategies.
- Leadership abilities, able to convince people about the merits of your arguments, and to manage members of the team.
- Experience in stakeholder management, issues management and crisis management. Comfortable defining and working with Policy metrics.
- Public advocacy skills, including promoting changes in regulations that have a direct impact on a company’s operations.
- Fluency in English and Romanian. An additional Balkan language is a plus.
- Social and interpersonal communications skills and are a team player.
- Driven but humble - see Glovo values.
- Basic knowledge of labor law and consumer law.
- Experience leading Impact & Sustainability and Corporate Communications projects is a plus.
- Experience in Balkan countries outside of Romania is a plus.
