YOUR MISSION

At Glovo, data is at the core of every decision we make, especially in Monetization, where we drive revenue growth through Ads, Promotions, and strategic partner engagement. As a Data Lead, you will play a key role in shaping Revenue Strategy and Commercial Team Performance, ensuring that data-driven insights optimize how we monetize our platform and grow partner success.

You will be the Global Owner of end-to-end Monetization data structure, ensuring its availability, accuracy, and relevance to both internal and external stakeholders. Leading a team of two Data Analysts, you will develop strategic insights, scalable frameworks, automation tools, and decision-making models that enhance our commercial teams' efficiency, partner monetization, and revenue streams.

This is a unique opportunity to own data solutions from ideation to execution, working cross-functionally with Commercial, Product, B2B Marketing, and Finance teams in an environment where experimentation, rapid iteration, and measurable impact are the norm.

 

THE JOURNEY

  1. Drive Monetisation Strategy 

 

  • Develop and refine KPIs, data frameworks, and analytics models to enhance commercial team performance, sales efficiency, and revenue contribution.
  • Provide actionable insights on revenue trends, advertising and promotional performance, and commercial strategy effectiveness.
  • Own the key parameters that define the configuration of Partner Monetisation products, ensuring they are continuously optimized for maximum business impact.
  • Define Next Best Action recommendations per partner, enabling commercial teams to improve partner engagement, retention, and revenue generation.

  1. Build and Optimize Data Products & Reporting
  • Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines, dashboards, and predictive models to drive commercial execution, partner behavior analysis, and revenue optimization.
  • Automate internal and external reporting, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and self-service access for commercial teams.
  • Establish best practices for data modeling, experimentation, and performance measurement to ensure high-quality analytics outputs.

  1. Lead and Develop a High-Performing Data Team
  • Manage and mentor a team of two Data Analysts, fostering their professional growth and technical excellence.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and continuous learning, while maintaining high delivery standards.

 

  1. Collaborate with Key Stakeholders to Maximize Impact
  • Partner with Commercial, Product Data Science, and Regional Monetisation teams to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions.
  • Align data strategy with commercial execution, ensuring sales teams have the insights needed to maximize revenue.
  • Present key findings to senior stakeholders, ensuring that data plays a pivotal role in strategic decision-making.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • Technical Expertise

    • 4-6 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science, with at least 1-2 years of leadership experience.
    • Advanced proficiency in SQL (BigQuery, Redshift, Presto) and Python/R for statistical analysis.
    • Experience designing and building data pipelines for large datasets using ETL frameworks.
    • Hands-on experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau) to create interactive dashboards and visualizations.
    • Strong knowledge of A/B testing, causal inference, and machine learning models for business applications.

    Managerial & Cross-Functional Skills

    • Experience leading a small team of data professionals, providing mentorship and guidance.
    • Ability to manage stakeholders, translate business needs into data solutions, and communicate complex insights effectively.
    • Strong project management skills, ensuring timely delivery of data projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with digital advertising, promotions, and partner engagement models.
  • Knowledge of sales analytics, commercial effectiveness, and revenue forecasting techniques.
  • Experience in SaaS business environments
